OnePlateAway is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit initiative dedicated to ending hunger through dignity and efficiency. We are an initiative by Harlesden Ummah, focused on connecting spiritual obligations (Fidya) with tangible humanitarian aid.
Our headquarters are in London, UK, but we operate globally. We have on-ground teams and verified partners in Makkah, Gaza, Yemen, Pakistan, and other regions requiring urgent food security.

Yes. Every penny of Fidya is used solely for food provided to eligible recipients. No operational or platform costs are deducted from Fidya.
Logistics, delivery, coordination, and platform costs are funded through sadaqah contributions, optional support donations, and partnerships.
Because Fidya is an obligation with strict Islamic conditions, while sadaqah is a voluntary charity that allows flexibility to support both people and the systems that serve them.
Yes. We are a registered non-profit. You will receive an email receipt immediately after donating which can be used for tax purposes in the UK and USA.
Absolutely. You are in full control. You can cancel, pause, or upgrade your monthly donation at any time via the link in your email receipt or by contacting support.
In many conflict zones (like Gaza or refugee camps), fuel and clean water are scarce. Dry rations (rice/flour) can be a burden if they cannot be cooked. We pay local restaurants to cook hot, nutritious meals, which supports the local economy and ensures dignity for the recipient.
We use a 3-tier verification process: 1) Pre-vetted local partners (Mosques/Kitchens), 2) Real-time media documentation (photos/videos of distribution), and 3) Random spot-checks by third-party auditors.
We have roles for everyone! From digital advocacy (sharing posts) to content creation, logistics management, and on-ground distribution (in select locations). Click 'Join the Team' to apply.
Not at all. The majority of our volunteers are 'Digital Ambassadors' who help us raise awareness and funds from their own homes. We provide all the assets and training you need.
